On Friday, the news of her kidnapping swiftly circulated on social media, causing a great deal of anxiety.

“Her father is a member of the WhatsApp group that we all belong to. According to Olanrewaju, the CAN chairman reported that the daughter of Reverend (Dr.) Lekan Babatunde had been abducted and posted it as a distress cry.

“Everyone in the group started saying, ‘Prayer, prayer, prayer,’ as they became anxious.” All of them, even religious leaders, were praying. I replied that while praying is beneficial, we must also act morally.

Before distributing the notice, Olanrewaju tagged Rev. Moses, the chaplain of the Oyo State Police Force Headquarters, in the same WhatsApp group.

“I found out that she was abducted at General Gas’s front gate. Olanrewaju continued, “Only God knows what she was doing there, where she went, and who she was with.
