According to reports, Abubakar Yakubu, the recently elected President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), was engaged in a deadly car accident in Surulere, Lagos.
Remember that Yakubu defeated Regina Daniels’ mother, Rita Daniels, by a slim margin of 116 votes to 113, with three votes deemed illegitimate.
Preliminary reports indicate that one person died as a result of the incident.
According to Sahara Reporters, Yakubu has been placed under police detention at the Barracks Police Station in Lagos’ Surulere neighborhood while the accident’s circumstances are being investigated.
The cause of the crash and the results of current investigations have not yet been made public by the authorities.
