President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the party’s greatest asset, according to Nentawe Yilwatda, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, or APC.
Yilwatda said he was confident the president is well-positioned to win a second term in 2027.
He spoke during the APC Northwest Youth Mobilization Meet-and-Greet in Abuja, which was organized by Bello Goronyo, the Minister of State for Works.
Yilwatda listed a number of elements that he claimed would bolster Tinubu’s reelection campaign, such as increased young participation, observable policy results, the party’s growing national presence, and the adoption of data-driven mobilization strategies.
He pointed out that the APC has gained recognition as “the largest political party in Africa” thanks to Tinubu’s style of governance and the party’s growing grassroots penetration, and he said that the party’s acceptance is still growing across the country.
We continue to add governors on a daily basis. More members of the National Assembly are joining us every day.
“We get market ladies.” Farmers are brought in. We take in students,” he remarked.
The APC chairman emphasized the need of unity and loyalty among party members, saying, “This party is your biggest asset.” Our most valuable asset is the President himself. Let’s defend this party.
