Tinubu Administration Reshuffles Aviation Agencies, Redeploys Top Officials [Full List]

A significant redeployment of senior personnel across important aviation agencies has been approved by the Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Federal Government in an effort to increase operational efficiency, accountability, and coordination in the industry.

Directorates at the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET), and Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) are reportedly impacted by the reorganization, which was approved by the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development.

An formal circular issued by Permanent Secretary Dr. Yakubu Adam Kofarmata on February 9, 2026, with the consent of Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo, detailed the exercise. The modifications are effective immediately.

Public affairs, consumer protection, finance, human resources, corporate services, and administration are among the strategic departments affected by the redeployment.

According to authorities, the action is a component of larger reforms meant to increase interagency cooperation and fortify the organizations in charge of aviation safety and service provision.

Funke Adebayo Arowojobe has been moved to NSIB to take on the same position as Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at NiMet.

Dr. Nasiru Sani has been moved to lead Corporate Services at NiMet.

Another cross-posting occurs when Baro Henry Minabawarre leaves NSIB to join NiMet as Director of Human Resource and Administration, and Airohiuodion Henry Omonzogie transfers from NiMet to NSIB as Director of Corporate Services.

Bimbo Olawunmi Oladeji’s transfer from NSIB to NiMet marked another transition in the leadership of public communication.

Portfolios of financial management were similarly modified. Dr. Mrs. Okundaye Oke Itohan Folake transfers from NSIB to NAMA in a similar role, and Muonemeh Ndubusi Lotenna leaves NAMA to join NSIB as Director of Finance and Accounts.

Mrs. Augustina Erah, PhD, took over as Director of Special Duties at the NCAA when Horatius Egua was removed of his duties.

To avoid operational interruptions, the ministry instructed all impacted personnel to finish their handovers as soon as possible.

The project was characterized by officials as a standard administrative reform with the goals of boosting service delivery throughout Nigeria’s aviation sector, bolstering safety monitoring, and building institutional capacity.
