In Lagos State’s Ikeja Along neighborhood, a tanker carrying Premium Motor Spirit, commonly referred to as gasoline, capsized and caught fire.
According to reports, the gasoline truck lost control and tumbled into the road late on Wednesday night, February 11, 2026.
Fuel spilled everywhere after the car flipped over, and a fire broke out soon after.
Residents and surrounding drivers were alarmed as the fire spread around the truck.
In order to control the situation, emergency personnel arrived on the scene promptly.
To manage traffic and put out the fire, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority officers and other emergency crews were on hand.
As efforts were made to limit the flames, drivers were rerouted to avoid additional danger.
In a related occurrence, a commercial minibus caught fire on Tuesday, resulting in a tragic traffic collision along Lagos’ Okota–Isolo route.
According to reports, eight individuals were injured and two people died as a result of the incident.
The incident, which took place on February 10, 2026, included a yellow commercial bus with the registration number SMK 823 YK that was commonly referred to as Faka.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority reported that the car was traveling toward Mile 2 in the Okota area on the Ballet inbound route at the time of the collision.
