According to reports, the demonstrators assembled at the gate of the National Assembly but then attempted to enter the complex by force, which prompted the police to use tear gas canisters on them.
There was chaos at the National Assembly gate after the altercation as a number of the demonstrators, including ladies, rushed for their lives.
