Abiodun Adeniyi, a communications professor at Baze University in Abuja, claims that the ruling All Progressives Congress’s (APC) plot to deploy FCT Minister Nyesom Wike to destroy the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is well underway.
During an interview on “Prime Time” on Arise Television on Monday, Professor Adeniyi made the statement.
He was responding to the PDP’s national convention, which took place on Sunday in Abuja’s MKO Abiola National Stadium.
He said that since 2023, Wike has supported the APC and President Bola Tinubu, pointing out that things have stabilized.
He claims that it seems unlikely that the PDP will have a role in the national elections in 2027.
“The APC is already succeeding in its goal to use Wike to destroy the PDP. As we approach the election in the following year, it is even stabilizing and becoming much more sustained.
“Wike has made it clear that he does not want the PDP to field a candidate strong enough to take on President Tinubu.” Adeniyi stated, “He is clear about his desire to back the President.
