Thousands of enthusiastic supporters of the Labour Party flooded Ufia in a remarkable and historic show of solidarity for the Member representing Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency, Hon. Chief Dr. Bishop Philip Agbese, and the frontline Ado State House of Assembly aspirant, Comrade Nathaniel Ogaragbo.
The electrifying gathering followed Comrade Ogaragbo’s successful return from Abuja, where he officially obtained his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to contest for the Ado State House of Assembly seat under the Labour Party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
After securing his nomination forms, Ogaragbo proceeded to Makurdi for the party’s screening exercise, where he was successfully cleared to participate in the Labour Party primary election.
What initially appeared to be a simple homecoming reception quickly transformed into a massive political rally as supporters from Ukwonyo Ward, Ronyongo Ward, and Ogege Ward trooped out in large numbers to reaffirm their unwavering support for the Labour Party and the leadership of Hon. Philip Agbese, widely celebrated as the “Enone Servant.”
Addressing the excited crowd, Comrade Nathaniel Ogaragbo showered praises on Hon. Agbese for his outstanding leadership qualities, grassroots connection, and developmental achievements across the constituency.
According to Ogaragbo, the numerous constituency projects facilitated by Agbese across Ado Local Government Area — particularly in Ufia and surrounding communities — have continued to strengthen public confidence in the Labour Party and demonstrate the true meaning of purposeful representation.
He stated that if elected into the Ado State House of Assembly, he would replicate the people-oriented leadership style of Hon. Agbese, whom he described as a shining model of good governance, accountability, and democratic service delivery.
Ogaragbo further hailed the “Okanga 1 of Agila” as a responsive and visionary leader whose performance at the National Assembly has continued to earn admiration both within and outside Benue State.
In a move that further energized supporters, Comrade Ogaragbo also extended financial assistance to several members of the community and assured residents that greater dividends of democracy would be attracted to the area if elected into office.
Also speaking during the event, the Chairman of the Utonkon District of the Labour Party, Chief Vincent Uloko, urged party faithful to remain united, committed, and steadfast in supporting the Labour Party ahead of future elections.
Chief Uloko described the Labour Party as the most credible and reliable platform for development, inclusiveness, and people-centered governance in the area. He further called on supporters to rally behind all candidates who emerge victorious during the party primaries.
He expressed strong confidence that the Labour Party would secure major victories across all elective positions in the forthcoming elections, from the presidency to the State House of Assembly.
The gathering ended on a jubilant note with chants of solidarity, victory songs, dancing, and renewed commitment by supporters to mobilize massively for the Labour Party and its candidates ahead of the general elections.
