Nollywood in Mourning as Popular Yoruba Actor Passes Away

The Yoruba movie industry is in mourning following reports that actor and comedian, Adeshina Okiki Oshin, popularly known as Janmole, has died.

It was gathered that the news of his death broke on June 1 when an Ibadan based radio station announced the development on social media.

In a Facebook post, the station described the actor as a multi-faceted entertainer whose contributions to the Yoruba movie industry would be remembered.

“Sad news hits the Yoruba movie industry as multi-talented actor, filmmaker and comedian, Adeshina Okiki Oshin, aka Janmole is reported to have died,” the post read.

The station also extended its condolences to his family, friends, the people of Okeho and members of the Nollywood community.

As of the time of filing this report, Janmole’s cause of death has not been officially confirmed.

His death was a shock to many of his admirers especially as he had been in a serious accident over a year ago.

The recovery had generated hope from fans and colleagues who feared for his life at the time.

His reported death follows the deaths of Patrick Okoye and veteran Yoruba actor Fesogboye Oyewole, adding to the sense of loss in the industry.
