Suspected killers of Sen Suswam’s brother arrested in Nasarawa
SUSPECTED murderers of Dr Terkula Suswam, the elder brother of the former Governor of Benue State, Senator Gabriel Suswam, has been arrested in Nasarawa State.
Suswam was killed in March at Ayin village, Logo Local Government Area of Benue State by unknown gunmen.
The State Commissioner of Police, Bola Longe, yesterday, paraded the six suspects, including Saalumun Waako, popularly known as Osama.
He said Waako was arrested along Keffi-Abuja road on the 2nd July 2021 alongside Paul Aba, Frederick James, Tersoo Zugu, Kenneth Samuel and Simon Achano while trying to assassinate some people around Uke, Nyanya Gwandara areas along Keffi road.
CP Longe said preliminary investigation revealed that Waako is a member of the criminal gang responsible for the gruesome killing of late Suswam, an elder brother to the Senator representing Benue Northwest.
He aaid the suspect is on the wanted list of the Benue Police Command for offences ranging from kidnapping, homicide to armed robbery and has been handed over to the command.
The CP, however, warned all criminal elements in the state to desist from all forms of crimes or face full heat from the force.
