SAKINA Bello, a 300-level student of Botany at Bayero University, Kano, has been kidnapped.
Bello, 23, was abducted along Janbulo and Rijiyar Zaki area of the Kano metropolis yesterday.
She was said to have been kidnapped inside a commercial tricycle.
It was gathered that the kidnappers placed a call to the family and demanded N100million ransom from the family.
The spokesman for the state Police Command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, said officers received a report of a missing person around 3pm yesterday and started investigating the matter immediately.
“We received a report of missing person from Rjiyar Zaki and we immediately swung into action to trace her whereabouts. The command is putting more effort to ensure she is traced and reunite with her family,” he said.
