Presidential spokesman Femi Adesina has labelled Senate Minority Leader Enyinnaya Abaribe the “chief mismanager” of Nigeria’s diversity.

Without mentioning names, Adesina, in an article published last night via Facebook, made reference to the lawmaker by addressing him as one who “stood surety for someone bent on the dismemberment of the country.”

He said that Abaribe should be “cooling his feet in prison” but “the Senator still spews rubbish.”

Abaribe narrowly escaped jail after leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra leader Nnamdi Kanu whom he stood surety for jumped jail in 2017.

“There is one funny Senator who talks about the mismanagement of our diversity as a country, yet he daily uses foul language against those in leadership. He stood surety for someone bent on dismemberment of the country, and when that one vanished, and he should have been cooling his feet in prison, the Senator still spews rubbish. Chief ‘mismanager’ of our diversity,” Adesina wrote.

“And the President had words for him and his ilk, who exist round the country: ‘We are ready to arrest and prosecute all persons inciting violence through words or action. Our resolve for a peaceful, united and one Nigeria remains resolute and unwavering…’”

Adesina’s article followed the arrest of Nollywood actor Chiwetalu Agu who was spotted in Onitsha, Anambra State wearing an outfit from Biafran flag.
