….Call on Development Partners to Sustain Aid

The College of Bishops , Imams and Clergy Councils (CBICON) said it will hold a one day national day of prayer for refugees in the country.

The council in a statement released to press men in Abuja by its national Coordinator , Rev Abel King noted that the gesture was in solidarity with the giant strides of the Imaam Sulaiman – Ibrahim led management within the last six months at the National Commission For Refugees , Migrants and Internally displaced Persons (NCRMI).

Rev King stated that the task of rehabilitating refugees was an onerous one and called on all and sundry to offer moral support to the Commision to succeed.

“We the clergy have seen a clear demonstration of the vision of the new federal commissioner in charge of the refugees Commission ” she comes on the job with zeal, determination and hope for those whose situation deserves complimentary interventions by the government ”

“First and foremost, the zero hunger campaign forms an integral part of the over all objective and goals of the commission” as religious leaders with contact with the masses, we can confirm that Nigerians are indeed proud of the milestones at the refugees Commission.

Imaam sulaiman – Ibrahim is doing things differently and productively too, she’s adding value to the Commision on many fronts” the Commision under her watch has lived above board ” we can only urge her to sustain the tempo.

“The joint national day of prayer for the Refugees Commission is a gesture that symbolises moral support of Nigerians , it is a Clarion call for all nigerians to contribute their quota to help actualise the Commissions goals.

“We also call on donor agencies, development partners and the government to consider more funding for the Commision in order to implement people centered interventions .
