President Buhari commissions airport in Yobe

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday, commissioned a multi-billion naira international cargo airport, which is named after him in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital.

The president flew in from Yola where he attended the campaign rally of the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, to commission the airport which is one of the legacy projects lined up for commissioning on Monday 9th January 2023.

He was accompanied by Senate President Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, Minister of Power Abubakar Aliyu, and governors of Yobe and Borno states among others.

Other projects executed by the Gov. Buni administration and are waiting to be inaugurated by the President include an estate with over 3, 000 houses, four modern markets, and a 300-bed capacity maternal, newborn, and child health complex, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.
