Egwim reportedly died on Monday, a few days after having surgery in Lagos.
He served as the state House of Assembly’s representative for Ideato North Constituency up until his death.

He was first chosen to serve in the state House of Assembly in 2015 under the APC banner and was returned in 2019 under the Action Alliance banner.
In the recently concluded National Assembly elections, he ran for the House of Representatives seat on the All Progressives Grand Alliance platform, but lost.
An unnamed source told our correspondent on Monday night that the man recently became ill, underwent surgery, and then passed away.
