The Governor of Katsina State, Aminu Masari, has stated that the incoming President-elect, Bola Tinubu, requires additional prayers from the people of Nigeria in order for his administration to be successful.

Mr. Masari made this announcement on Wednesday at the Government House in Katsina, during a special break in the fasting and prayer session that was held there.

According to the governor, the soon-to-be President organized similar prayer gatherings during the holy month of Ramadan on a yearly basis in the past.

“We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to the Almighty God for the success we experienced during the most recent round of general elections in the country.

“There is nothing we can do other than to thank God for the success that has been recorded in Katsina and in Nigeria in general.”

“This is the most important reason why we are all gathered here together with religious and traditional leaders, officials from the government, and other stakeholders.

As he is about to take office as the next president, he is in need of additional prayers. Mr. Masari acknowledged that, “Thank God, the people have understood that after electing leaders, prayers must be the next step.”
