Frank Lampard, Chelsea’s interim manager, has declared he will take a break after his brief contract with the team expires.

After Graham Potter was let go from his position, the former Chelsea player who was fired during his first coaching stint at Stamford Bridge was temporarily brought back.

However, under the former England midfielder, the Blues struggled and finished in 12th place, which put them closer to the relegation zone than the Champions League spots.

It has been pretty intense, so I’ll take a break. I had to get into that mode because I wasn’t already there.

Lampard, who was fired from Everton earlier in the season, said, “I’ve given it my all; we’ll see what happens.”

Chelsea finished the season with 44 points, which was the fewest since the 1987–88 season, the year they were demoted.
