Olabode George, a former deputy national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has pledged to work for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu if invited.
George has stated several times that he will never work with Tinubu because he has been a vocal critic of Tinubu since he was governor of Lagos State.
George, on the other hand, has made an unexpected U-turn and stated that if invited to contribute his quota to nation-building, he will work with President Tinubu’s administration.
This was stated by the former PDP chieftain during an interview with journalists in Lagos.
“As I previously stated, my reaction is not personal. Look, I went to military school. “In the military, you know, whoever is in the trench next to you is your brother,” George explained.

“When you go out to say, what is our military mission? It is to protect our country. Why would I refuse if he came to me and said, “Look, what do you think about this, what do you think about that, let’s work together in the interest of this country?” This country also educated me.
“I was trained by the military.” I have travelled to every corner of the globe, training and exercising. This country educated us.
“So, we have to be able to give something back to the system that will also have a positive impact on the younger ones, to make them smile.”
