A 24-hour curfew was imposed in the council area of the Mangu Local Government Area of the Plateau on Sunday night.

In a statement released on Sunday night, Markus Artu, the LGA’s interim management committee chairman, said: “A 24-hour curfew has been declared in the Mangu Local Government Area. As a result, there won’t be any kind of vehicle movement.

“In addition, all motorcycle movement has been prohibited indefinitely. Only security personnel and employees performing necessary duties will be permitted to move.
