The British government has stated that Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide is one of its partners.
To develop the South-East region, the government aims to collaborate with Ohaneze in commerce, investment, agriculture, and other areas.
Dr. Richard Montgomery, the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, revealed this.
At the Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide headquarters in Enugu, Montgomery paid a visit to the organization’s officials and made this statement.
He stated that the UK already had a long-standing development collaboration with Enugu State in the areas of business, education, and health, and he pledged to strengthen that partnership in order to develop the area.
He stated:
“I am aware of the difficulties this region faces and the potential for growth, and I share the desire to maintain the close ties between this region and the UK.
“We’ll investigate the problems, see what we can do, and start a variety of regional development activities.
“Agriculture services and industries, as well as the Business Council that the President General, Chief Iwuanyanwu, announced he will form, are areas of interest to us.
And we are focusing on ways to improve prospects for investment, trade, and incentives between Nigeria and the UK.
