Makinde reappoints former Lagos CP Owoseni, other as dvisers

Mr. Fatai Owoseni has been reappointed by Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State as Special Adviser on Security issues.

The re-appointment was announced by Makinde on Thursday.

Owoseni served as the state’s police commissioner in Lagos.

In a letter signed by his chief of staff, Segun Ogunwuyi, Makinde also announced the reappointment of Comrade Bayo Titilola-Sodo, a former chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Oyo State chapter, as Special Adviser on Labour issues.

In addition, the Governor reappointed Mr. Segun Adegoke, a retired assistant comptroller of immigration, as the special adviser on homeland security.

He also announced Chief Bayo Lawal, the previous Commissioner for Trades and Commerce, as Senior Executive Assistant on General Duties.

Other appointments made by the Governor include those of Mr. Elias Adeojo as chairman of the Oyo State Water Corporation and Mr. Olufemi Awakan as chairman of the Oyo State Board of Internal Revenue. Mr. Olatilewa Folami is the director general of the Oyo State Investment and Public-Private Partnership (OYSIPA).

The Governor announced that Dr. Debo Akande has been appointed as Executive Adviser, Agribusiness, International Cooperation and Development & Director-General, Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA).

Makinde urged the newly appointed individuals to view their positions as a new call to service.

Comrade Bayo Titilola-Sodo, a former chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Oyo State chapter, was reappointed by Makinde as Special Adviser on Labour Issues in a letter signed by his Chief of Staff, Segun Ogunwuyi.

Additionally, Mr. Segun Adegoke, a retired assistant comptroller of immigration, was reappointed by the governor as the special adviser on homeland security in the letter.

The governor also named Chief Bayo Lawal, the most recent Trades and Commerce Commissioner, as Senior Executive Assistant on General Duties in the letter that was made available to DAILY POST through his Chief Press Secretary, Sulaimon Olanrewaju.

Other appointments made by the governor included those of Mr. Olatilewa Folami to the position of Director-General of the Oyo State Investment and Public Private Partnership (OYSIPA), Mr. Elias Adeojo to the position of Chairman of the Oyo State Water Corporation, and Mr. Olufemi Awakan to the position of Chairman of the Oyo State Board of Internal Revenue.

The governor went on to say that he had approved Dr. Debo Akande’s appointment as executive adviser for agribusiness, international cooperation, and development as well as director-general of the Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA).

Makinde urged the newly appointed officials to view their positions as new calls to service in the statement.

The appointees were commanded to carry out their duties with zeal and unwavering loyalty to the government.

The appointments are effective right away, according to Makinde’s conclusion.
