The Nigerian Army’s soldiers have been praised by the governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, for their valiant efforts in eradicating and degrading the state’s criminal elements.
At the same time, Kaduna State’s Kagarko Local Government Area (LGA) had bandits eliminated by the military on Thursday.
The bandits were flushed out during the clearance operation from their hideouts in the Kagarko-Iche, Takalafiya, Gidan Makeri, and Jangala communities, all of which are located within the Kagarko LGA.
In praise of the bravery displayed by the troops in driving bandits from their lairs in Kagarko, Governor Sani credited the security forces’ coordinated action and increased surveillance for the so far documented successes.
He reaffirmed, however, that his administration is committed to working with security forces to address both ongoing and potential security threats in Kaduna and the surrounding areas, noting that increased cooperation between the Kaduna State Government and security forces is already showing positive results.
“The massive deployment of troops to troubled areas around Kaduna State has led to a steady decline in banditry, kidnapping, and other forms of crime and the resumption of economic activities,” Sani claimed.
Since taking office, Governor Sani has met separately with the recently appointed service chiefs. These meetings have included in-depth discussions on the need to build on the victories achieved in the fight against insecurity in Kaduna State.
