Dr. Raymond Edoh, Chairman of the Aazik Group, United Nations Habitat Ambassador to Nigeria, and Secretary General of the Nigerian Youth Congress, has called on the federal government of Nigeria to ensure a fair and inclusive open door policy for the youths of the country. Dr. Edoh also serves as the Secretary General of the Nigerian Youth Congress.
He pointed out that this would lead to an organized and comprehensive participation of young people in the government that was in place at the time.
Edoh made this remark while he was in Abuja paying a working visit to Senator George Akume, who serves in the capacity of Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Edoh, when asked about the expectations that young people have of the government, stated that there are two key areas that he would want the current administration to look into, and that these areas are “leadership and Education.” Edoh was speaking about the expectations that young people have of the government.
As he extended his heartfelt congratulations to Senator Akume on his well-deserved appointment as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, he made an impassioned request to the SGF, pleading with him to always maintain an open door policy for the youths so that they can interact with him.
In response, the SGF, Senator George Akume, stated that the reason why nations are so successful is because of their younger generations. He brought up the fact that the President is supportive of young people and has faith in the abilities of Nigerian youngsters.
He also mentioned that the President has a strong belief in the importance of national unity and diversity among young people. According to his statement, “There is an indication of what he has in store for the Nigerian youths based on the appointments made so far by the President.”
“Now is your time, and I have complete faith in the younger generation,” she said. Let us know if you think we’re going off the rails. If what we are doing is the right thing, then you should also encourage us. There is no god among us. There is no one who is incapable of making mistakes. Our goal is to provide assistance to the very best of our abilities. Yes, we are capable of making such errors, real errors; however, you should correct us rather than condemn us. The SGF made the following statement: “There are others who do not see anything good in a leader when they are not involved.”
He appealed to the Ambassador to make use of his position to secure additional funding for educational opportunities for young people in the nation and to support the efforts of the current administration to remove a large number of young people from the streets.
In a separate turn of events, Edoh made the following statement regarding Aazik Petroleum Limited while he was speaking on the company: “Aazik Petroleum with over a decade of experience in providing a wide area of specialty services works and also provides volumes of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) directly to end consumers.
