Obaseki to swear in four new commissioners Friday

Four new commissioners who were approved by the state House of Assembly will be sworn in by Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki on Friday.

The ceremony would start at 1 pm at the New Festival Hall at Government House, Benin City, the capital of Edo State, according to a statement from Osarodion Ogie, the state’s secretary of government.

Asi Surajo Jubril, Zubairu Dada Abubakar, Osilama Okuofo, and Ogbeide Ifaluyi-Isibor will be among the commissioners who will take the oath of office.

“It is hereby announced for the information of the general public that His Excellency, Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, will administer the oath of office to the four commissioner-nominees on Friday, August 25, 2023,” Ogie said.
