According to President Bola Tinubu, Africa has a greater chance of addressing its economic and security problems by finding indigenous solutions and being consistent with its promises and commitments.

This statement was made by Tinubu on Thursday at the State House in Abuja when he was accepting letters of credence from three envoys.

The ambassadors are Mr. Awall Wagris Mohammed of Ethiopia, Mrs. Miriam Morales Palmero of Cuba, and Mr. Salem Saeed Al-Shamsi of the United Arab Emirates.

The President gave the Ethiopian ambassador his word that Nigeria would keep fortifying its relations with African nations in the fields of trade, security, and economic expansion.

“Africans must work to advance the continent. Collectively, we ought to be able to find solutions to our internal issues. We have to do it, even though it takes a lot of effort.

No one has a better understanding of our people than we do. Homemade cures work better for all of us and last longer, he asserted.

Mohammed praised the President for the national decisions he had made and the effects of those policies on the continent, and he pledged his commitment to enhancing ties between Nigeria and Ethiopia.

In a separate encounter with the Cuban Ambassador, Tinubu praised Cuba for its competence in indigenous medical sciences, its widespread access to healthcare, and its commitment to maintaining regional stability.

The president pointed out that there are some cultural parallels between Cuba and Nigeria that may be investigated in order to enhance the quality of life for residents, particularly in the tourism and other economic areas.

The younger demographic that Nigeria is so fortunate to have would benefit from our increased collaboration in science and technology, Tinubu remarked.

When the UAE Ambassador was received, the President gave the order that problems affecting relations with Emirates Airline and the issuing of visas to Nigerians should be “quickly” remedied, adding that he would “personally” interfere if required.

“We are a family in UAE; even though we only have our own rooms, we share a home. The problems should be treated as a family issue and amicably resolved.

As you are aware, every family has its quirks. You may have a rebellious son or daughter, but we must cooperate. Core concerns relating to immigration and aviation must be resolved, the President stated.

Given Nigeria’s historical roots, its longstanding leadership position in Africa, and its reputation for welcoming visitors, the UAE ambassador claimed that he already considers himself to be “Nigerian.”

“I have been working on 24 accords since I arrived in the nation. We are progressing in the right direction. These are minor issues that only affect one household and will be handled.

“I’m happy to be in Nigeria. As a wonderful leader in both Nigeria and Africa, His Excellency, President Tinubu, is someone I am also incredibly grateful to have met. Please consider me a member of your team and accept me as a Nigerian, he pleaded.
