The National Union of Road Transport Workers would support President Bola Tinubu’s administration in putting its specified economic goals and programs into practice, according to Tajudeen Baruwa, the union’s president.

In order to ensure that the nation’s economy improves, Baruwa stated that NURTW members would collaborate closely with the president through the transportation industry. He also stated that they would answer Nigerians’ issues wherever they may be.

After taking the oath of office with the other executive members of the union at the 10th National Quadrennial Delegate Conference of NURTW in Lafia, Nasarawa State, Baruwa offered the guarantee.

He said that the union’s assurance that travelers and their goods will reach their destinations securely and without experiencing any delays would help the federal government’s recovery effort economically.

He claims that “the Conference in session expressed satisfaction with the efforts done so far toward reviving the nation’s economy for the benefit of the people after critically evaluating President Tinubu’s Administration, despite its short tenure of less than three months.

“As a result, we offered our full support for his administration’s policies and programs, believing that if they are honestly carried out, they will undoubtedly lessen the misery faced by the public,” he continued.

In the meantime, he praised Abdullahi Sule, the governor of Nasarawa State, for his labor-friendly attitude toward the NURTW, which the administration supported by providing a suitable environment for the conference to go off without a hitch.

In order to ensure that law and order were maintained throughout the nation’s parks and garages, Baruwa pledged that the union will continue to improve its partnership with the Nigerian Police Force, in particular with the Inspector General of Police.
