Mr. Alagoa Morris, the Bayelsa Coordinator for the Peter Obi Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), has left the Labour Party (LP) for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The declaration was made on Thursday in Yenagoa by environmental rights activist Morris in advance of the November 11 Bayelsa Governorship Election.
He emphasized that Governor Duoye Diri had accomplished a great deal of good, some of which were not made public, which was why he wholeheartedly supported his bid for re-election.
He declared, “I have chosen to support the incumbent governor because I believe that he is the strongest of the main candidates.
“Diri is the only candidate for the Nov. 11 election who deserves support, based on the candidates who are currently running locally.
“I wasn’t a Labour Party member when they hired me as the state coordinator, but that position has now been filled, so life continues on.

“I was with Governor Douye Diri yesterday, and after considering the candidates, I think we should support him.
“This is due to the fact that anyone who enters right now will inform us that the Treasury is empty.
“Therefore, it should be okay for this one to keep working with development partners and other stakeholders.
“Diri has accomplished a lot of things that are not known to the general population. I believe he is trying, so we must encourage him to keep going, he remarked.
