Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has denied rumours that he has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He said this on Channels Television’s Hard Copy, a Friday night pre-recorded show.

“As long as I am not in the PDP, I will never join another political party,” he stated. “And I would never join the APC, whether they are good or evil.”

Fayose added that the PDP must unite its members and seek to revive the party, which finished second in the presidential election this year.

The former governor emphasised the importance of the southern region of Nigeria producing the president, adding it would be unfair for the northern region to do so.

Meanwhile, he advised the main opposition party against exiling former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike.

Remember that Wike participated in anti-party activities by working against the party in the 2023 presidential election and has subsequently been appointed by President Bola Tinubu as a Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

“Some say attack Wike, expel Wike, and sack Wike. I believe they do so at their risk. You know, even if you have terrible difficulties or indifferences in your home, the first thing you should do is not drive away your wife or husband. “Wike is a force in the PDP and beyond, a power you cannot ignore,” he remarked.

“Ignore Wike at your risk, sack Wike, or fight Wike.” “He is a capable man,” he added.
