PEPT: Buhari applauds Tinubu’s triumph, asserts that tribunal has shaped history

On Wednesday, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retired), a former president, expressed his happiness with the decision of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal, which recognized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of the February 25 election on behalf of the All Progressives Congress.

According to a statement released by Buhari’s media adviser, Garba Shehu, on Wednesday, the Tribunal has “created history” by defying intimidation and all kinds of bias in order to deliver justice in accordance with the law and to the majority of Nigerians, who have wished for their decisions to be recognized.

The Supreme Court’s decision means that the election period is finished, and it is now time to put the heat and dust behind us, according to the statement, “If anyone has won today, it is the democracy and the people.”

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s new APC administration needs everyone’s assistance going forward in order to fulfill the promises it made to the populace, he said.

In addition, the former President thanked all Nigerians for keeping the country peaceful throughout that time and wished for continuing advancement and growth under the APC administration.

He offered heartfelt congratulations to the President, the Vice President, and the APC for winning the legal battle, along with his best wishes for them in achieving the goals of the people.
