Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, the minister of state for agriculture and food security, has reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to implementing President Bola Tinubu’s vision for agricultural transformation.

During a large reception that the Niger State government hosted in Minna for all elected officials, political appointees, and other stakeholders in the state, Abdullahi gave a speech.

The minister stated that the President is making every effort to see that his plan for agricultural transformation and food security is a success.

He added that the President’s dedication to the agricultural revolution was a factor in the choice of the senior and junior ministers for Agriculture and Food Security from Borno and Niger, the two major states that are severely impacted by insecurity.

Although he acknowledged that the two states are plagued by insecurity, Abdullahi pointed out that the military’s and other security services’ ongoing campaign against criminals will put things under control so that farming activities can proceed.

The minister had earlier received assurances from the governor of Niger State, Rt. Hon. Umar Mohammed Bago, that the state will participate in the President’s plan for agricultural transformation.
