Early on Monday, gunmen shot and killed Wilson, a member of the vigilante group at the First Marine Gate quarters in the Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.
According to reports, the gunmen engaged the neighbourhood vigilante team in a gunfight, and some of the vigilante team members fled as a result of the assailants’ greater weaponry.

As a result, one vigilante, Wilson, was killed by gunfire from the invaders.
Although the incident’s specifics are vague, as of the time this report was being written, the deceased’s corpse lingered by the roadside at the location of the occurrence for some hours in the morning as onlookers and locals caught a glance.
As of the time this report was filed, DSP Bright Edafe, the state command’s public relations officer, could not be reached for comment on the incident as messages and calls placed to his cell phone did not receive a response.
