Senator Ali Ndume, a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and representative for Borno South, claims to know more about parliamentary matters than Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Ndume criticized Akpabio’s leadership style in the 10th Senate during his Sunday appearance on Politics.
“It was misconstrued or taken out of context the last time, and I don’t like the way he handled the situation. Remember that I supported Akpabio and battled here. A house cannot be constructed and then destroyed.

“The primary issue is that I have more experience than he has. I attempted to correct him, but you can’t override your chief whip; I’m the one who calls someone to order. He was meant to invite me at that point so we could have a longer, one-on-one conversation, but he took advantage of the gavel, and I had to go to pray at 12:30 p.m.
The politician, who was first elected to the Senate in 2011, was talking about how he stormed out of the chamber on October 19 following his confrontation with Akpabio.
Speaking on the show, Ndume urged President Bola Tinubu to issue an executive order about wealth that doesn’t make sense.
The legislator claimed he tried to introduce several proposals in that area, even though he acknowledged that there already laws in the UK and other countries that address similar problems.
He stated on Sunday Politics, “I have tried several times, but you know, there were excuses here and there.” “I believe that the best way to address this is when the executive bills on unexplained wealth are introduced, or in the interim, the president should sign an executive bill on the subject.”
Ndume asserts that regulations are necessary to address the extent of unexplained riches in the nation, particularly among politicians and civil servants.
