Nigerian Army kill three terrorists in Kaduna villages

The Nigerian Army has confirmed that three terrorists were successfully neutralized during clearance operations near the villages of Maidaro, Ngade, Ahla, and Rikau in the state’s Birnin Gwari Local Government Area.

Lt.-Col Musa Yahaya, spokesman for the Nigerian Army’s 1st Division in Kaduna, stated on Monday that the terrorists attempted to flee when they saw the troops, but two of them were killed and the others managed to escape with gunshot wounds.

The troops recovered an AK47 rifle during the operation, and the criminals abandoned a motorcycle.
In another operation, the troops conducted an operation in the Tantatu and Antena areas within Chikun Local Government Area of the state. They successfully neutralized one terrorist and recovered one AK-47 rifle, one AK-47 magazine, seven 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, and two mobile phones.

Maj-Gen. Valentine Okoro, General Officer Commanding 1st Division, Nigerian Army, and Force Commander of “Operation Whirl Punch,” commended the troops and urged them to maintain their high level of performance until all terrorists and criminals within the Division’s area of responsibility were completely eradicated.

He also urged Kaduna residents to continue providing credible and actionable intelligence to the army and other security agencies.
