The North East Governors Forum will promote small-scale irrigation farming to minimize climate change.

Saturday’s ninth NEGF meeting in Yola opened with this statement from forum chairman Governor Babagana Zulum.

He claimed the region’s economy and life depended on agriculture.

Zulum further stressed the importance of including key stakeholders in an industrial development program that promotes local resource development.

He also thanked President Bola Tinubu for his efforts to bring peace and security to the area and nation.

He says the region faces protecting life and property, poverty, unemployment, and other issues too big to address alone.
