Fubara: I would’ve punished you long ago – Dele Momodu knocks Wike

Dele Momodu, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has accused the party’s leadership of punishing Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

If Momodu had his way, he would have penalised Wike long ago for working against the party.

This comes after Umar Damagum, the PDP’s acting national chairman, promised to punish Wike for working against the party at the appropriate moment.

Remember that on February 25, Wike backed All Progressives Congress (APC) President Bola Tinubu against PDP Presidential Candidate Atiku Abubakar.

The minister and Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara have been at odds lately about who gets to manage the state’s resources.

Due to his falling out with Fubara, 25 of his supporters in the state House of Assembly defected from the PDP to the APC, and other commissioners left the state executive council.

Momodu asserted that Wike’s shenanigans must end because the PDP leadership cannot put up with his excesses any longer.

Momodu stated on Arise Television that he would have approved Wike long ago if he had the authority to lead the party.

“If I had the authority, I would have penalised Wike long ago,” he declared. While he is still causing problems for the party, the PDP leadership must have a good reason for keeping him around.

“He wants to have and eat his cake.”
