The recent killings in the Plateau State local government areas of Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi have been vehemently denounced by the federal government.
The Federal Government reaffirmed the Tinubu Administration’s commitment to securing every square inch of Nigerian land in a statement made by Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris.
It further guaranteed that terrorists, bandits, and militants would face down all sorts of criminality with courage and determination.
According to the statement, Tinubu has given the security services instructions to make sure that the people responsible for these horrific killings are found and prosecuted.
According to the statement, the President has also instructed the appropriate authorities, including the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, to collaborate with the Plateau State Government in providing immediate humanitarian aid to the impacted communities.
The statement read as follows: “The Federal Government pledges to scale up collaboration with and support of the state governments in the collective task of ensuring lasting peace and security in Nigeria, acknowledging the deep pains being felt by all the victims of these attacks.”
“To increase intelligence gathering and crisis response efforts, all hands are on deck across security and intelligence agencies at the federal level.”
