The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) have selected a few executive directors, according to President Bola Tinubu.
Under the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy are both agencies.
Engr. Olalekan Badmus is the Executive Director of Marine and Operations of the Nigerian Ports Authority, while Ms. Vivian C. Richard Edet was named Executive Director, Finance and Administration. As the executive director of engineering and technical services, engineer Ibrahim Abba Umar will take over.
Mr. Chudi Offodile is the Executive Director of Finance and Administration, Mr. Jibril Abba is the Executive Director of Maritime Labour and Cabotage Services, and Engr. Fatai Taye Adeyemi is the Executive Director of Operations for the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency.
According to a statement released on Thursday by Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s Special Advisor on Media and Publicity, President Tinubu approved the appointments with the firm belief that, after reviewing their impressive resumes, the new appointees will quickly and effectively carry out their collective mandate to establish the necessary frameworks to significantly increase the Marine and Blue Economy Sector’s contribution to the country’s GDP.
