Coworkers of three Nigerians and two unidentified Chinese expats who were reported missing on December 3, 2023, while traveling on business from Onitsha, Anambra State, to Aba, Abia State, have stated that search operations are still underway to find them.

The victims were reportedly traveling in a white SUV with the license plate KSF-456-HD when they were last heard from, according to a statement released on Wednesday.

Since December 3, 2023, a group of five individuals—two Chinese and three Nigerians—on a business trip from Onitsha to Aba have vanished from the Eastern portion of Nigeria, and all attempts to locate them have been unsuccessful.

“The vehicle they drove was a white 4Runner SUV with the license plate KSF456HD (see the above automobile image). We kindly ask for assistance from the public while we look for the car and its occupants. According to the release, “Anyone with credible information leading to their whereabouts will be rewarded handsomely.”

They had made previous trips to the area, according to one of their acquaintances, who went by the simple name Saheed, who spoke with reporters over the phone on Wednesday.

It’s not their first visit there, he claimed. This is not a Chinese community in Nigeria. They merely stay to complete their company survey, have a meeting with their partners and clients, and then depart.

“The expatriates arrived on November 19 and two weeks later, they started the trip,” stated a second colleague, who went by just Ben. That was the last time we heard from them, and we had communication with them that day. None of the phone numbers we tried to reach the folks in the car went through. We promptly reported to the Aba and Onitsha police stations in this manner. We have not received a call from anyone as of yet. They spent more than two weeks in Onitsha.

Ikenga Tochukwu, the public relations officer for the Anambra State Police, was not reachable since his phone did not ring. At the time this report was submitted, he had not responded to a text message that was sent to him.
