In a cross-state operation, the Nigerian Police Force apprehended Chinaza Phillip, a well-known kidnapper from Abuja.
Phillip’s arrest was verified by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command in a statement issued on Friday.
According to SP Josephine Adeh, the state police spokesperson, Phillip was reportedly taken into custody on Thursday, January 18, by members of the Kaduna State Police Command.
Adeh continued, saying that the suspect is currently being held by the police and has been turned over to the FCT Police Command.
The force has promised to release “more details soon,” but information about the operation and Phillip’s arrest is still surfacing.

Phillip’s apprehension coincides with mounting apprehension regarding the nation’s escalating abduction frequency, specifically in the Abuja locality, where multiple prominent incidents in the preceding months have underscored the significance of tackling this matter.
Along with their father, Mansoor Al-Kadriyar, who was later freed to pay the ransom, six sisters, ranging in age from early teens to 23, were recently kidnapped in the Bwari neighborhood of Abuja.
His daughter Nabeeha, 21, a final-year college student, was murdered last Friday as a warning that the enormous ransom needed to be paid.
