In an attempt to kidnap Mallam Idris Abu Sufyan, the principal of Government Secondary School (GSS) Kuriga in Chikun LGA of Kaduna State, bandits killed him.
Following the Friday evening school principal murder, the terrorists kidnapped two women.
When Mallam Sufyan tried to resist abduction, the bandits killed him, SaharaReporters reported.
“They succeeded in kidnapping two women in the process,” Senator Shehu Sani regretted on his X account on Saturday.
He wrote: “Bandits killed Mallam Idris Abu Sufyan, Principal GSS Kuriga, Chikun Lg Kaduna State, for resisting abduction. The kidnappers took two women. Peace to his soul. Ameen.”

Innalillahi wa Inna ilaihi raji’un, his colleague wrote on Facebook, confirming the unfortunate incident.
“I regret to inform you that our noble colleague, GSS KURIGA (SNR) principal. Malidia Abu Sufyan was killed by bandits and his wife kidnapped with baby boy. May Allah forgive him and grant him Aljannatul firdausi. Amen.”
One Manajer Deeni mourned Mallam Sufyan’s murder, saying he had the chance to leave the village due to bandit attacks but stayed for his people.
“Allah sarki Abusufyan Idrees, you had the chance to leave Kuriga village at once, but you chose to stay with your people. When he was alive, he was the village gss principal and taught the village youth football. Even after tense attacks by armed bandits in his community, he chose to stay. He lived all his life trying to make the world a better place for youths and to put his little community on the map. R i p Abusufyan,” he wrote on his Facebook.
As the country’s murder and kidnapping rate rises, @Aloefuna1 called Mallam Sufyan’s murder heartbreaking.
This is heartbreaking,” he wrote on X. Insecurity is rising daily, but they can only incite bigotry among young Nigerians by calling a tribe by name.
“Nigerians know! Name CHINAZA PHILIP distracts. We are still consumed by insecurity.”
