Ten candidates have been vetted by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in advance of the party’s primary on February 22.
According to information obtained, the candidates received certificates from the party’s screening committee, which is chaired by Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, to take part in the process that will determine the PDP nominee.
The PDP National Organising Secretary Umar Bature that all candidates who purchased nomination and expression of interest forms were vetted and given certificates to compete in the primaries.
The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, Asuerinme Ighodalo, Omosede Ogbinedion, Anslem Ojezua, and Felix Akhabue are among the candidates who were screened.
Arthur Esene, Umoru Hadizat, Omoregie Ihama, Prof. Martin Uhomoibh, and Osaro Onaiwu are the others.
The screening process took place at the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja behind closed doors.
