Edo varsity matriculates 1,245 students

1,245 students who fulfilled the requirements for admission to the Edo State University in Uzairue for the 2023–2024 academic year have been matriculated.

Prof. Emmanuel Aluyor, the vice chancellor of the institution, gave a speech on Friday at the institution’s 9th matriculation ceremony in Iyamho, Etsako West Local Government of Edo State. He urged the recently admitted students to follow the rules of the university and make responsible contributions to the institution.

He remarked, “Dear matriculants, approach your studies with dedication and utilize the ICT facilities and cutting-edge technology provided for your academic growth to the fullest. Set out on a focused academic path and make Edo State University Uzairue’s tranquil setting your ideal place to succeed.

He declared that the institution was committed to continuously provide top-notch facilities for teaching and research, working in collaboration with the Edo State Government.

The Vice-Chancellor highlighted the impressive growth the university has experienced in the last eight years, noting that it started out with three faculties and eight programs but has since expanded to nine faculties and over thirty undergraduate programs, all of which have been accredited and approved by the National Universities Commission and other relevant professional bodies.

According to Aluyor, the college’s College of Post Graduate Studies is notable for its productive programs, which include PGD, Masters, MBA, MPA, Mphil, and Ph.D. offered by several faculties.
