Naira has returned to its appreciation towards the US greenback within the overseas change market amid the restriction of Binance, a cryptocurrency platform.
Knowledge from FMDQ confirmed that the Naira appreciated N1,609.51 on the shut of buying and selling on Wednesday from N1,615.94 on Tuesday.
This represents an N6.43 or 0.4 per cent appreciation in comparison with the N1,615.94 recorded on the closing of Tuesday’s buying and selling.
In the meantime, the Naira exchanged for N1,500 per USD on Wednesday on the parallel market from N1,618.489 on Tuesday.
Naira Charges, the parallel market change fee, confirmed that the Naira appreciated 1,463.098 per USD on Wednesday.
The event triggered a large selloff on the Binance Market.
