According to Nigerian officials, between 2022 and 2023, the country is expected to receive $17.64 billion from 51 approved discipline enhancement schemes.
At the seventh Nigeria Worldwide Vitality Summit in Abuja on Thursday, Gbenga Komolafe, the Chief Government Officer of the Nigeria Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Fee, NUPRC, revealed this.
According to him, these nationwide programs represent a critical turning point for the industry, offering significant financial benefits and improved production capacities.
If the plans are carried out, he continued, 2.12 billion barrels and 13.13 trillion cubic feet of fuel would be restored.
“A total of 51 Discipline Growth Plans (have been) approved in the years 2022–2023, with the expectation that they will attract a full $17.64 billion in funding in addition to ship cumulative oil restoration and fuel restoration estimated at 2.12 billion barrels and 13.13 trillion cubic toes, respectively, over the next five years,” he stated.
