Tinubu suspends MD REA Ahmad, other management team over alleged N1.2bn fraud

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has suspended the Managing Director of Rural Electrification Company, REA Ahmad Salihijo Ahmed and three govt administrators over N1.2 billion fraudulent misappropriation up to now two years.

Media andPublicity disclosed this in a press release on Thursday.

The three different affected administrators are Olaniyi Alaba Netufo, Government Director of Company Companies; Barka Sajou — Government Director of Technical Companies; and Sa’adatu Balgore — Government Director of Rural Electrification Fund, REF.

The President ordered a wider investigation into the conduct of the officers above.

Accordingly, Tinubu additionally introduced their alternative as follows:

Abba Abubakar Aliyu — Managing Director/CEO,

Ayoade Gboyega — Government Director, Company Companies,

Umar Abdullahi Umar — Government Director, Technical Companies and

Doris Uboh — Government Director, Rural Electrification Fund (REF)

Olufemi Akinyelure — Head of Mission Administration Unit, Nigeria Electrification Mission.
