Fire guts radio station in Anambra

A hearth incident occured in a non-public radio station, Kpakpando FM, Mbaukwu in Awka South Native Authorities Space of Anambra State.

The incident, which occurred at roughly 9.30pm on Thursday, destroyed the workplace constructing, leaving its studio gear partly burnt.

The State Fireplace Chief, Engr Martin Agbili, who confirmed the incident, stated no life was misplaced and a few gear have been saved by fast response of his males.

“At about 2139hrrs (9.39pm) of Thursday 07-03-2024, Anambra State Fireplace Service, obtained a misery name of a hearth outbreak at KPAKPANDO FM, MBAUKWU.

“Instantly we deployed our hearth truck and gallant firefighters to the scene of fireside. We fought, managed and extinguished the fireplace.

“The reason for the fireplace is unknown. The workplace constructing with its studio gear was partly burnt whereas some gear and different components of the constructing have been saved.

“We withdrew from the fireplace scene at about 2318hrs 11:18pm”, he stated.
