President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration says the declare by Senator Abdul Ningi of Bauchi Central that the 2024 nationwide finances was padded is fake and baseless.
Recall that Senator Ningi had queried the whereabouts of N3 trillion within the 2024 N28.7 trillion finances.
Nonetheless, in an announcement on Sunday, Bayo Onanuga, Particular Adviser to the President on Data & Technique faulted Ningi’s declare.
The presidency acknowledged the Nigerian authorities allowed that the Nationwide Meeting to jacked up the nationwide finances by N1.2 trillion within the spirit of Democracy.

“The Nationwide Meeting, in its knowledge, elevated the quantity proposed by the Govt by N1.2 Trillion.
“Within the spirit of democracy which permits give and take, President Tinubu didn’t withhold his assent to the Appropriation Invoice as handed by the Nationwide Meeting. We wish to stress that if the finances determine was elevated and made to be completely different from what the Govt proposed, it was the Nationwide Meeting that jacked it up in train of its energy of appropriation.
