The Director Basic, Abia State Orientation Company, Pastor Dike Nwankwo has decried the rise in cult actions within the state’s increased establishments.
He made the condemnation on Tuesday in Umuahia following the current conflict between totally different cult teams in Abia State College, Uturu (ABSU), which took the lifetime of a scholar, leaving the establishment in a state of unrest.
Nwankwo, who recalled the sensitization on Anti-cultism and Drug Habit organized by his company in December 2023, acknowledged that the essence is to curb the menace of drug habit and cultism amongst youths of the state.
He due to this fact enjoined all Abia residents and residents, particularly youths in varied establishments of upper studying, to shun cultism and abstain from drug abuse, noting that the practices are harmful.
Nwankwo maintained that the reorientation and mind-shift initiative of the Governor Alex Otti administration have to be sustained as its impression is already being felt.
He recommended the governor for taking rapid motion in restoring calm within the state college.
