A student of the Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Imeri in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo state, Jethro Onose, has been abducted.
Onose, a Senior Secondary School Student (SSS) I, was abducted in the early hours of Monday alongside his father, Maliki Onose, while returning to school after the three-week holidays.
A source in the Navy school confirmed the incident to Daily Trust.
He said both the student and his father, Mr Onose, were waylaid along a notorious route on the Edo and Ondo road.

“The man was conveying his son back to school in the early hours of today when the gun-wielding men waylaid them and marched them into the bush.
“The information got to us when we were preparing other students who earlier resumed their dormitories,” he said.
Oluyemi Fasipe, a popular Ondo-based social activist, also confirmed the sad incident in a tweet on the microblogging page, X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Jethro Onose, an SS1 student of Navy School Imeri, and his father, Mr. Maliki Onose, have been kidnapped along the Edo/Ondo state route. Details are still sketchy,” Mr Fasipe wrote on Monday.
Frantic efforts to reach the authorities of the Navy secondary school proved abortive.
Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), in the state, could not immediately confirm the kidnapping when contacted.
Odunlami-Omisanya, a Superintendent of Police, however, promised to get back to Daily Trust.
“Please, give me more time i will reach out to the DPO in charge of the area for details,” she said.
