Akwa Ibom job seeker’s ‘killer’ pleads guilty to murder
Uduak Akpan, the prime suspect in the murder of a graduate of the University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has pleaded guilty to murder at a State High Court in Uyo, Akwa Ibom.
Akpan todag pleaded guilty to causing the death of Iniubong Umoren.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to rape.
Akpan had lured the Akwa Ibom indigene out of her home with a fake job interview.
Umoren, 26, was buried in a shallow grave in Mr Akpan’s family house where the crime took place.
The victim was properly buried in May at her hometown, Nung Ita, Ikot Essien in Oruk Anam Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom.
